See the network of underground canal routes that helped form the industrial Black Country and marvel at the fantastic Limestone Caverns. Enjoy a canalside walk or relaxing boat trip, and admire the local history. See if you can spot any of the limestone fossils remaining from when the area was below sea, and explore the Dudley Tunnel - don't be startled by the bats!

I've lived in Brum all my life and when ever the Black Country is mentioned, the Living Museum and Zoo come to mind. But the Canal Trust is right up there in my opinion. It was absolutely an excellent experience. The staff were spot on, the safety measures were strict without being formal and trip guide was charming as well... More

Situated close the BLack Counry Museum, we took a 45 minute boat trip, through underground tunnels and caverns. Very knowlegable guide. In one cavern was a cleverly set up video presentation, and in a larger one, known as the singing cavern a presentation and music and light show. Aparently various events are held in the cavern during the year, including... More

Visited here with overseas visitors from USA, they were suitably impressed and rated it as their best experience of British history on their visit better than Stratford upon Avon or their London tour. Highlight of their visit was the canal trip into the tunnel, I was extremely proud showing them around being a "Black Country boy, born and bred in... More

What a brilliant tour. The kids loved it. All the staff was great. Kept you well informed and entertained. Got to see a pantomime and then on to see Santa. Santa got on the boat and spent time with every child. We went into the restaurant and had a meal after which was very nice. All well priced too. Definitely... More

We wasn't quite sure what we were expecting in this trip but we took the 45 minute canal cave trip with 2 children and it was very interesting and an experience to remember. The staff were very informative and it is great how they have done certain things with the caves. Would definitely recommend.

A lot of effort was put into this short trip, it was very entertaining and my Grandson loved it, well worth the money.

6 of us went on this trip, 4 adults, 2 grandchildren. Even though it was pouring down with rain we all really enjoyed it. Santa was really good with the children, having photos taken with those that wanted to. The grandchildren enjoyed the pantomime. We had a nice cake and a cuppa in the restaurant upstairs afterwards. All the staff... More

We was very impressed with the tour. The guide I think was an ex police man , he was hilarious. There was a few ride people on the boat talking while he was which made it hard to hear but we enjoyed every minute and was well worth a ride . We have now been twice and to be honest... More

Huge new visitor centre to start the experience> On the day we went the special offer was £ 3 each - fabulous value. 45 minute trip had a commentary from our skipper, very informative. Hard hats must be worn and water may drip from the ceiling- all part of the fun You can also have a go at "legging" TIP... More
