A cracking little boozer, celebrating the past with old fireplaces, floral tiled inserts, a collection of teapots, plates and prints on the walls showing farming scenes from decades ago in the local area. Friendly and welcoming staff, Acorn Barnsley Bitter on draught and vegan friendly...More

Friendly locals, decent and reasonably priced beer in a lovely historic pub interior. The pint of Barnsley Bitter is an institution. Welcoming to all. You can usually find a seat and Nick the Landlord is always a smiling face.

An absolute gem! The Little Plough is what every local should be. Warm welcome, good beer, great characters. A step back in time, with slower pace and genuine people. The pub is in Camra's Guide to Historic Pub Interiors, and hasn't changed much since the...More
