Arrived 30 minutes before afternoon showtime. It was very busy but we were helped to find our seats in the stalls very promptly and courteously. Lots of legroom, temperature about right. Impressed. And what a performance. Billy Elliot exceeded all my expectations, absolutely brilliant.

Arrived at the theatre, immediately shouted over to a man checking bags well I say checking he rummaged through every bag like a customs officer looking for drugs!! We was made to feel like criminals. We went to the bar at the interval to be greeted by yet another unhelpful rude member of staff on the bar. Couldnt see any drink... More

We had a fantastic time last night watching Dr Hook. As some people have mentioned the seats are on the small side but as this is a very old Theatre this is to be expected. The staff do a sterling job directing you to your seat, serving drinks which you can now order using an app on your phone. They... More

I went to watch John Edward with my mum in law yesterday. I needed to use my wheelchair and therefore another entrance had to be opened that had no steps. A man called Oliver came to help us, took us in the lift and escorted us all the way to our seats. He was really attentive and so helpful. Just... More

I love theatres: wonderful buildings with huge individuality and history. What's on in the theatre can be a huge gamble though and, sadly the production of Ghost that I sat through here recently could have put me off theatre for ever mainly down to what was the worst performance I have ever seen on a stage. I was going to... More

Booked to see Dirty Dancing at the Palace, The best show I've seen, however we could only get Grand Tier seats and when everyone stood up at the end we missed the final I've had the time of my life!!! We have had to book again for July next year ( front Circle) Can't Wait!!!

A Poor rating is somewhat harsh for what is otherwise an excellent all round theatre venue. We were front row in the gods for LSOH on Friday evening and had an excellent night, the show was very entertaining and I was comfortable. Here's my moan: I get that the venue can charge ridiculous interval drink prices and I don't mind... More

I've been twice now. Last year to see lion king and this weekend to see little shop of horrors. Both times I sat right at the top tier but selected front row seats so I wouldn't have heads blocking my view. The view is still good from there. The staff are friendly, drinks and snacks over priced but it's like... More

Watched The Little Shop of Horrors here which was a fantastic stage show in a very historic venue that I first visited some 30 or so years ago. Not much has changed since then including the lack of leg room but that should not detract from such a lovely setting for some great shows. Looking forward to booking for The... More

I was really looking forward to seeing the production of Ghost in the theatre i love the film. I sat down and my goodness the seats are high and at a scary angle if you don't like heights. At first i felt comfortable but after three hours you can't move even if you want. I am a medium build and... More
