I frequently host guests from around the world and accordingly Manchester China Town is on my must take to see list. Everyone enjoys the visit and the magnificent food even more so. Some restaurants more expensive than others so do check out the menu placed outside, lots of buffet deals to be had at varying times. Certainly a Manchester must... More

Plenty of restaurants to choose from, bit small for anything else with one central attraction. A couple of the markets are good value if you know what you are looking for

We visited Manchester Chinatown some years ago and had always intended to return as they put on a very good show. It is always difficult to choose as there are so many but the few we tried were all quality restaurants

When you really want proper Asian cuisine after been living in Hong Kong for 21 yrs this is the place to be. You will be surprised how much stuff they have to offer. Little pricy but well worth it.

Visited a very busy Chinatown on the Chinese New Year. As you would expect it was very busy with every restaurant packed. We eventually got a table for 4 at the Pacific which was very good if you could wait a long time for your food. There was a lot of lanterns and a funfair on the Sunday taking up... More

We found this area to be fascinating, especially as it was the time of the Chinese New Year. The magnificent arch which welcomes visitors to Manchester China Town is unusual and an exciting find. The whole area is full if Chinese restaurants and shops.

A typical Chinatown in an urban city, filled with lots of Chinese restaurants (of widely varying quality and costs) and markets. The Chinatown Gate is a nice site to see. But it's in the "middle" of the Chinatown area and right next to a car park. It'd have been better if it flowed onto a people park and garden. A... More

A wander around the place which is basically old warehouses now converted into restaurants is good fun, but not for a woman alone at night.
