Must be the right place to rest at during summer. Nice, full of history, a few things to read about the place, but if you are short of time in the city, don´t have to see it.

Walked through the Castlefield Urban Heritage Park on our way to the Museum of Science & Industry, having got off at Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stop. Its an interesting place and the Roman gate was well recreated. Peaceful, but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. It is also the starting point to visit Deansgate shopping area however. Water canals in... More

I walked through the Castlefield Urban Heritage Park on my way back from the Museum of Science & Industry. Its an interesting place, though I found the recreated gatehouse (though it did contain one original lintel) a bit Mickey Mouse / Disney in its substance and setting. I fully understand why it was recreated, though I prefer originality - not... More

I live nearby and I am so happy that I can visit this place in a heartbeat. Great place to relax taking a walk, taking photographs seeing the bridges and water canals, the old building.

My favorite neighborhoods in Manchester are, without a question, Castlefield and Deansgate. The arquitecture is just lovely and quite intelligent since the mix between old industrial buildings and new construction was well achieved. There is only one exception to this and it is a big exception. The Beetham Tower where Hilton is. In my humble opinion, this was the worst... More

A great urban place to visit which differs from the rest of the city. Recent refurbishments on buildings has a significant impact. Old warehouses have been converted to studios, flats, offices and galleries. Also, many modifications have been made in the Museum of Science and Industry.

I was expecting someone else but maybe this is why it didn't live up to my expectations; not at all. I have been to places with Roman Remains before; better places. This area by the river is nothing special, just a small park and some stones (and stairs) above which we've got trams. The river is nice but there is... More
