Christmas markets

Visited the Christmas markets the second weekend of opening on a Sunday and it was still packed! There are lots of stalls for food, decorations etc. Would definitely visit again

The Christmas market at Albert Square is wonderful; there are many stalls with so many different things to buy. There are plenty of food and drink stalls to choose from. We enjoyed the pulled pork with stuffing and apple sauce and mulled wine. The hot chocolate stall served excellent drinks too.

I was amazed at the transformation of Albert Square in Manchester into a Christmassy market with lots of food and drink and festive stuff on offer. This ranges from salamis to cheese to mulled wine and German bratwurst and lots of other food too. Great atmosphere and head off as well into the surrounding streets - well worth it.

We visited the Manchester Christmas Markets today (Tuesday) with or son & daughter in law, going in by train to avoid the hassle of parking in central Manchester. Arriving at Victoria Station, we walked up to Albert Square where the main market is situated, glorious cold and sunny day. We ate bratwurst, drank gluhwein and hot chocolate, feasted on mini... As usual this is a great annual venue. The seasonal food, drinks and gifts always put a smile on your face. It's well worth a visit, however be warned. It gets busy, very busy. During the day, you have to compete with the workforce and the evenings and weekends with the tourists and visitors. Remember, you'll need money. Plenty of... More

Ok, it's not the cheapest option when it comes to having a drink and a bite to eat but it certainly gives you the Xmas Spirit and is well worth a visit. The stalls sell a multitude of goods but I like the ones selling European sausages/ salamis and cured meats and cheeses. I enjoyed a couple of pints of... More

Very pleasantly surprised at the scale and set up of the Christmas Market - beats any that we have been to before. Well laid out, reasonably priced food and drinks and loads of unique gifts and presents to be found. Will definitely be returning Best tip - go mid week - busy but not too crowded, weekends must be a... More

Always seems to be events going on in Albert Square, visited the Christmas Market, some good and some average stalls. Best to go during the week to avoid the crowds, the brandy coffee is very tasty.

came to the christmas market saturday, just love this, great goods on sale, really nice food and drink and to be fair not to expensive for this sort of thing and so many stalls to look round, if you can find a better christmas market in the UK then i would be very surprised.
