We attended a wedding at Albert's Chop house on a gorgeous, sunny August , after which we were impressed by the catering facilities in this square as well as the ambient features of our surroundings.

Fronted by Manchester Town Hall, this is a large square perfect for events such as the spanish one we attended. Cobbled area surrounded by some great bars and restaurants.

Nice square in front of town hall. Always seems to be something on, with eating and drinking places. Probably the epicentre of Manchester.

The Jazz festival was on last weekend when we were there and the place was really lively. The square is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. Give it a try.

Having worked here and spent many a happy hour watching festivals and music and speeches in the square, I would recommend people look at the gothic town hall, the statues and those on nearby brazenose street, as these may surprise you.
