The food was bad, steak and kidney pudding, chips ok, mushy peas tasteless, and steak n kidney pud full of big chunks of bland meat, nasty. get mush better in any chippy. Very overpowering waitress, rudely saying, she would tell my dining partner what he should eat, because he was a pensioner? I did not like the service one bit,... More

The Albert Square Chophouse is magnificent and stunning! The square has just been turned into a Christmas Market for a month until December 21. Lots to see and buy. Christmas is around the corner!

Food and drinks galore from paella to chocolate, from sangria to mulled wine, from chorizo to hot dogs, from beer to different food stalls. It's very busy on a weekend so if you prefer not to be in a sea of people (extremely difficult to walk around), go there during a weekday. Located next to the town hall.

Nice square surrounded by the beautiful gothic town hall on one side and restaurants on the other three. Unless there is a special event then the square itself can offer only a couple of statues and a fountain on its cobbled smallish area.

The square is next to the town hall. This is a good place to sit down and soak up the atmosphere while the time goes by and people watching.

The town hall in the permanent attraction here. it does hold events throughout the year though, like the Christmas markets, Christmas light switch on, other markets and NYE it's popular to bring in the New year in from of the town hall clock. You can sit one the many benches, but apart from surrounding restaurants and a cab stand, there... More

When visiting Manchester it's always worth a visit to Albert Square. The square is full of history and a wonderful Town Hall. There is also many good restaurants in the square and surrounding area.

That is a nice place to have a walk around. Spacious and you will be able to take pictures of everything around. It has little fountain and memorial.

We have visited this square on numerous occasions - Rugby, Food Festival among others. The location is over looked by impressive buildings and is very close to all the shops.
