If you pass by the northem quarter, stop for a few moments in this incredible building. It is a quit place, filled with charm and various creations. His particularity is that the artists each have their own studio where they create and sell their creation.

The north quarter is very nice to visit, you have to look everywhere to not miss anything. It's really big. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. People are very social. They will gladly answer our questions if we are looking for a place. Art Galleries like Manchester Craft and Design Center are very interesting. The choice of... More

This place used to be an old fish and poultry market and has been turned into a beautiful art center! There are several workshops selling lovely paintings, drawing, mosaics, and more. There is also a little café. It's a very lovely spot to visit.

A collection of designers and artisans under one roof. An eclectic mix of unique jewelry, ceramics, glass and some more mainstream items. If you are looking for something unusual or made specifically to your requirements a place well worth visiting.

Visited here for the first time today, lots of lovely craft shops to look round. Jewelry, furniture, cards, cushions, wedding dresses, paintings, prints, ornaments and tiles. All made by very talented artists. Wished I'd known there was a coffee shop, serving delicious looking cakes. Fantastic use of an old building.

There are lots of little individual craft shops selling jewellery, cards, handmade tiles, pictures, kitchenware, bespoke furniture, the lot. There's a café here too, serving drinks and light lunches though we didn't partake. It's definitely worth a wander round, giving you plenty of ideas for birthday gifts, and treats for oneself!

Excellent use of the old fish market, its glass ceiling provides plenty of light flooding the central hall. The artisan small shops along the sides are so varied and interesting filled with stunningly beautiful creative pieces, paintings, ceramics, cards, jewelry and wool creations. Definitely will return to fill up with birthday goodies. Enjoyed a soya milk hot chocolate at the... More

The craft and design centre was a real find on our visit to Manchester. Located in an old building, with lots of natural light, each designer has their own little workshop and retail space. We saw many gorgeous pieces and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere. It was quiet when we visited so we enjoyed the relaxing pace and being out of... More

Off the beaten path, this collective of artisans is a nice way to spend an hour shopping and take afternoon tea. Most of the shops seem to be (women's) jewelry. Being crafted by artisans, most of the pieces are one-of-a-kind. If you're in the area and in a mood for an indoor jewelry shopping excursion, stop in and have a... More
