The Pelican centre has a decent sized pool and the standards of cleanliness are normally quite high. My little girl has started her swimming lessons there and after only a couple of lessons there is starting to build confidence in the water. (We've tried a number of swimming lessons including Rebecca Adlington swim stars, waterbabies etc...but she seems to be... More

Just been to the first induction at the Pelican Centre, what a great facility and non profit making too. Power to the people lets hope the hard work pays off!

Brought my children in Saturday with a couple of their friends they all loved it! It is far cleaner then when it was a council pool. Would recommend for kids that are confident swimmers

My daughter who was identified as a potential Swimming talent in another authority was humiliated by the staff! She has glue ear & therefore has to wear earplugs with either a hat or headband to ensure they stay in place. During a pool party she came off the inflatable & the headband dislodged, so as she was swimming she was... More

The pelican centre has just been refurbed which is great. The changing rooms are now much bigger and cleaner and the pool still has the same great staff. We go every weekend near enough for the fun swims and it is great. The music and atmosphere make it really fun for everyone and they have a range of floats in... More

Kids loved the actual pool and inflatable but the rest of the building is appalling. The changing rooms were filthy and had the worse smell in them ever, the building is apparently having a revamp which it is in desperate need of but before this I think a bucket of bleach/soapy water might help!!

Experienced hundreds of visits to The Pelican Centre. It's even more fn these days with the addition of wall art, new inflatables and a great atmosphere. I will be returning many times !!! First class, cheery aproachable staff and a great temperature pool. Offer's something for all. http://www.pelicantyldesley.co.uk/

Fantastic facility, lovely staff, great family fun! Improves the local area with something everyone can enjoy. Looking forward to a revamp of the changing rooms which will perfect the facility! :-)
