We visited here for a drink last weekend and enjoyed this fab quirky bar! I think it’s an old school underground railway station. It was really cool with -fab ambience and is some nice unusual spirits -cool!!!

I’m all for former Victorian buildings of a different use finding new life as a pub or bar and in this case the basement of the former Manchester & Salford's Children mission building now lives on as a craft and cask bar. As described by...More

Characterful independent place with a most unusual underground location and décor. Superb collection of guns and whiskies and an excellent range if craft beer to boot. A must visit place if in the area.

Lovely place. Really helpful staff. There is a ‘cellar’ smell but you get used to that. Far better here than any of the regular chains. Recommend.

Outstanding range of whisky far beyond your standard bottlings. Visited with my whisky club on a Saturday afternoon and had some great drams fairly priced. Would definitely return when next in Manchester.

The entrance is on Bridge Street. You go down a set of steps. Wood St runs parallel behind.
