An easy stroll from Piccadilly Gardens, the Police Museum keeps a bunch of retired coppers off the streets! It is an interesting look back at Manchester policing complete with uniforms, weapons and old cells. Allow about an hour.

Not the best museum in the world as in the facilities but the exhibition is brilliant Try on clothes, see cells and vehicles, its all here and is probably more ethical than GMP is now ;)

Had a couple of hours to kill and saw the sign. Now wish I'd had another hour. There is the very slight air of a volunteer semi charitable set up and I think all the staff are unpaid and there because they love it, but...More
