Link to historic St John Street
Best preserved Georgian Street in this part of Manchester. Rather nice to stroll through

Manchester has far too few city centre parks. This one is pleasant enough but far too small to really be classed as a park. It's very close to the museum of science and industry and right next to St John Street. So if you're seeing your brief or your quack, why not recover here?
Don't make a special trip here but it's pleasant enough if you find yourself in the area.

I work close to this park - which should be a mini oasis for city workers and local residents. It's the complete opposite of an oasis. Litter bins rarely get emptied, over run with swarms of Pigeons and the mess that comes with them. Currently being used by x2 homeless people who have set up tents within the gardens. The litter from them is piled high and hung within the trees. Needles on the footpath. I imagine council funding has been cut here like many parks and gardens in the northwest. The one and only possitive is that there are x2 benches that a wheelchair ♿ user can easily access. There are very old headstones which are of local interest. Wish the council would take a look at this.

A lovely green space in the middle of a busy city. Lots of benches to sit and experience the peace and even some picnic tables. Somewhere to recover from the busy city

A good place to sit and have a take away lunch in the city centre. Away from the busier centre/parks this former cemetery never gets too busy.

Fantastic park, great place to go in the Summer when you're looking for a nice place to relax. Close to Spinningfields nd a little hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lovely little park this, in summer it is brilliant for having a city centre picnic and people watching. If it's a hot day a lot of fun can be had watching the office girls and guys sunbathing. A lot.
Plenty of benches, but it does get busy at lunchtime in summer.

Rather nice park near the Opera House, so quite near to central Manchester. Lots of benches and beautiful flowers.

Found this little park down the street from the Coronation Street Tour. Very quaint with lots of blooming flowers and people chilling on benches.
There is a statue stating that 22,000 people are buried there....a little spooky. Originally these grounds were a church. Lots of history.
Great for a picnic in sunny weather as it's very close to the city.

I'm looking for somewhere to propose to my girlfriend, I want somewhere quiet, lots of flowers, maybe a bit secluded if she gets emotional. Any ideas?
