Although no remains of the synagogue stand at the site, the commemorative plaque and three large photos of the former synagogue (from outside, inside and while it was being destroyed) put you in a solemn mood. The mall is getting very old, and is not very attractive anymore. The building it's in is particularily ugly.

I understand the sentiment of the reviewer, but the truth is there is absolutely nothing to see here. The monument consists of a simple plaque crammed between a busy tram stop and a shopping centre. It shouldn't even be an item on the "Things to do" list for Strasbourg. If you are going to Place Les Halles for the shopping... More

This is a simple Tram stop that will stop you in your tracks if you take a moment to think about what the monument means. There is a black granite bench here with gold letters that remind us that it was here that once stood a Jewish Synagogue burned by the Nazis on September 12.1943. Not much fanfare, but a... More
