This huge cathedral, Strasbourg's most famous landmark, is an intimidating example of 13th-century Gothic architecture.

Beautiful building made even more spectacular with the surrounding Christmas markets. Must see. Free to go inside, definitely worth checking out too.

This is a must-visit in Strasbourg, very hard to miss as it is in the very centre of Strasbourg. There are always lots of tourists around and inside. A lot of museums close by aswell and many restaurants with view of the Cathedrale. Go and...More

Great place to look around and you can even go up onto the roof and get a great view of the city! Brilliant

Our Gate 1 group spent a morning in lovely Alsatian Strasbourg en route to Lucerne. It is easy to see why tour guides designate the massive Notre Dame de Strasbourg as the meeting point for tour groups after free time. My friends and I make...More

Yep! It's another stunning Gothic Cathedral, in a similar mould to the one in Cologne in that it is huge! But unlike Cologne's, it's surrounded by many other buildings taking away some of it's dominance. I love looking at these magnificent structures, despite not caring...More

The cathedral dominates the heart of the city, imposing and massive and distinctive. The red sandstone facade is filled with detail. Inside, do not miss the horloge in the northeast section. The details in the movement is delightful to watch.

Unfortunately we had rain all day, but the Cathedral remains a very impressive monument. In the afternoon sunlight it must be fantastic. We sure will come back one day.

Not at all impressed when on a short visit to Strasbourg we found the Cathedral was closed from 11.30 am to 2 pm except for groups of paying tourists wanting to watch the famous clock.

The Cathedrale is stunning outside and inside. Strange then that all the pews were blocked off, nowhere to pray in a church? Wanted to sit down and contemplate but had to shuffle around to the exit with all the tourists.

Most of what you will see is inside and a small part is outside with cover for rain and wind. I've not been in December, but my son was and said it's the perfect time to go.
