I stumbled onto this museum by accident and spent several hours there learning about the Alsatian culture through different themed rooms that went from the top to the cellar. A must if you want to understand this part of France.

Loved this museum. It is full of beautifully designed displays and very informative about typical Alsatian life. Lockers are available at the entrance for only a coin deposit. Within walking distance of other main attractions such as the cathedral and sightseeing boats.

Every room in the museum is a marvel: there are over 5000 exhibits. It is open daily but for Mondays and stretches over three adjoining half-timbered buildings.

This is probably more interesting if you actually come from Alsace. But there is plenty of stuff well presented to while away an hour.
