Where visiting Kings stayed

Beautiful building with lovely fountain and a very interesting feature of a shallow, rectanular pool that can look like a mirror.

Like a lot of places in Bordeaux this one too is both very impressive, easily accessible, and close to a lot of other notable places.

This is the place to see the beautiful buildings that front the Gironde River and there is a need to stop and see to take it all in. The place is also the location of the Water Mirror attraction. This this a very shallow expanse of water that reflects the buildings in the Place de la Bourse. That a coffee... More

This beautiful wide square is probably the most well known spot in Bordeaux between the Garone river and the city. A nice long Mirror fountain stands in the middle and reflects the buildings and lights.

Our cruise ship docked about 100 yards downstream from Place De La Bourse, which is the centrepiece of the modern city waterfront. This is one of those take it or leave it type of areas. We came for the architecture and the photos, and for that, and a bit of history it is interesting. However, your visit will be short, and it is only worth visiting if you are already passing through.

It's an impressive building to see and looks even better lit up at night but don't expect to see the reflection in the water mirror unless it's a dead calm day with perfect lighting
