Ideal place to start your walk through the city, Water Mirrors straight in front of you and amazing architecture all around, which is beautifully lit up at night. Loads of cafes and bars just to the right and you arrive in quaint squares which ever way you take inwards. TOP TIP - Buy a daily tram ticket, covers you throughout... More

Excellent place to spend some time relaxing on a sunny day. Great for the kids to play and cool down in the steam of the water mirror. Good picture taking opportunity. Bring a blanket for a picnic and sunscreen (not a lot of shade around).

Yes, it's the classic picture of the city. Yes, it really is that stunning. It's a pity that there's a tram stop right in front of it, you have to time your pictures around them, and in daylight there will be crowds. The best views without question are at night, when everything is illuminated and reflected in the water -... More

Toured it on a rainy day during Euro cup. Managed to get some nice photos. Saw it once during the day and once at night. Highly recommend getting evening/night photos when the lights are on.

We visit Paris every year and this year decided to add a stay in Bordeaux. Breathtaking. Not too many tourists. Great restaurants. Easy to walk everywhere and/or take the tram to visit places a little further afield. A MUST See!!

The Royal Palace is probably the grandest point in the grand city of Bordeaux. Located right on the riverfront your are greeted with amazing vistas and a city vibe that you'll struggle to find anywhere else in France other than Paris. Surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants theres lots to do in the vicinity and if you're a keen photographer... More

Bordeaux is a beautiful city and the Palace Dr la Bourois one of it's highlights. The views across from the water feature are stunning and it's just a very relaxing place to spend some time!

Nice place for photo shooting. Kids and adults all run and enjoy the water or mist. Footpath, cycling path and beautiful flower and plants on the way. Could enjoy the sight of Pont de Pierre as well. A must visit in Bordeaux!
