After visiting the Musee d'Aquitaine, I asked the reception about exhibits on the history of the second world war. The staff directed me to the Centre National Jean Moulin, which is about a 5 minutes walk away. The Centre is listed on the Museum d'Aquitaine's...More

A superbly presented collection of artifacts, film, and historical documents of WWII. A painful reminder of the atrocity of The Holocaust, and how devastating the war was. Not light-hearted...

Anyone interested in war memorabilia would find this exhibition interesting. Jean Moulin's room with interesting photos, one with the Queen's mother. Not to be missed the room on the Concentration camps - there are no words....

This plentiful, three-floor museum covers the resistance and the two world wars. However, like others have said, there is very little information in English so it's hard for non-French speakers to gain much information about the topics covered. I'd love to improve my understanding of...More

Quite interesting in its self . However, it would be nice to see some English translation for some of the exhibition. Yes you can view the history quite well and its free to go in, but lacking in an international approach in these modern days.

A really informative museum, but only in French. My French is poor, but I have a real interest in WW2 so was happy to go along for a browse. But to be honest you can get the gist. Great sections on the occupation, the resistance,...More

Worth a visit. Nothing written in English. Ground floor self explanatory, 2nd floor pictures, and 3rd floor a tribute to Charles de Gaulle, plus some interesting wartime cartoons

Situated across the road from the Cathedral in a small square, the Centre National Jean Moulin is certainly a place to go if you are interested in the Resistance movement during World War 11 as well as the deportation of the Jews by the Nazis....More
