We went on a Saturday in early September. After 2-3pm, it was too busy, no space for lounging. The best time to go is the morning. The beach side bar is accessible from the water, even in low tide, it serves good cocktails.
A nice wide sandy beach mainly given over to surfers. The designated area for swimmers seemed to be invaded by surfers with little controls but they would have been difficult. Not keen on the cyclists of Biarritz either but it is a lovely town centre...More
A relaxing beach that is excellent for swimming without the heavy waves in the Grand Plage. Great views, not too crowded either. The tide comes in during the afternoon, so the beach becomes quite a bit smaller.
Contrary to the big and wide Biarritz beach this one looks like being a private beach. It's small, not crowded, secluded in a cove between rocks. Sea is calmer and more blue, and while swimming you watch the Virgin Mary statue, the symbol of Biarritz.
