Small museum but there is a good collection, also information available in English. It was really a surprise for me i can not imagine so many things in one small place

Beautiful treasures from many places and ages in Asia. Presentation is what I would call traditional: full display cases and explanatory text rather than audio-visual displays and a pared-down selection of artefacts. Possibly not particularly child-friendly, but marvelous nonetheless. Explanatory text is fascinating and there...More

Thank you so much for your thorough comment! We are very glad you liked it here! We will talk about your experience to Marie-France, who created a booklet specially for children, but only in French - so it would be a great idea to create...More

I called in, partly to kill time before our train left Biarritz. The museum has a fine collection of beautiful pieces from India, China and other Asian countries. FASCINATING.

This is a small but interesting collection of Asian history and artefacts but we are definitely bias as we are a Eurasian family who live in Asia. If you actually go through the narrative that is provided then it doubles in interest. The staff are...More

Went together with the guide. Got a lot of interesting and useful information. The visit may take in general even few hours, if you want to go in details of each culture.

This collection, said to be the second in quality in France (after the Musee Guimet in Paris) was disappointing as the finest pieces are not featured. Too many objects are displayed and cases seemed sometimes more like open storage than a museum installation. My husband...More

Private Collection = Moral Conundrum The artifacts are brilliant, but don't expect an explanation for everything (or even half). Located in what I assume to be an old home, it was not what I was expecting. That being said their are things inside that I...More
