Located at the far North end of the beach is the Share de Biarritz. ( Lighhouse) Wonderful views. Not for the faint of heart in that there is a pretty long walk to reach the point, plus 750 steps to the top. The views you are rewarded make it worth while.

The phare de Biarritz stands out between Biarritz and Anglet and is well worth the visit on a sunny day. You can see as Biarritz on the one side and the Anglet beaches on the other. If you feel fit why not climb to the top.

great sightseeing point to look towards Spain, the fantastic waves and to the north towards the long shore of Hossegor.

The view from the lighthouse is magnificient, it is worth walking there for the view. There are stairs going down on the rocks but the enormous waves down there could be deadly as sometimes they go over the path. Stay on the belevedere, it is just lovely.

I have always loved light houses and their ability to stand firm against the most ferocious storm. As you climb the 243 steps to the top think about the near 150 years of storms and lives saved by this structure. Then enjoy the view from the top!

The views from just below the lighthouse are amazing but if you are prepared to climb the 248 steps, the views become magnificent on both sides of the point on which it is perched. Entrance to the lighthouse is only available after 2pm (and costs only 2.5 euro), but there is plenty of parking, and a kiosk if you need... More

Good view from the terrace and easy Parking near the Phare. We just stayed a little bit before our walk through the center city.

Great views over Biarritz from the top of the lighthouse (Phare) on the northern side of Biarritz. The price was €2.50 and it is only open in the afternoon, so glad our time there coincided with the opening hours. It is a bit of a walk from the town but there is a cafe nearby and plenty of places to... More
