As others have observed, this art gallery is modest but has a good collection of painting and sculptures across a range of genres. What will appeal will depend on your taste but there is a little of everything there! We spent about an hour and...More

Easy to get to near center of Pau. In addition to having some works of well known artists (Reubens, Degas, etc) this two story museum includes some galleries with unique approaches to displaying art (some sculptures, too). For example, a room focusing on a portraiture...More

This medium sized museum is really interesting, well laid out and lit. There is a wide selection of paintings and sculptures with some well known artists.

This impressive art deco building shows off a selection of the collection. The welcome at the desk is a good start and the explanation helpful. Of course it's smaller than the Louvre, but by showing a few examples of many types of paining and sculpture,...More

Do not expect much from this museum. There are some nice old masters paintings and a beautiful Albert Marquet painting. Also some Art Deco sculptures. But on the whole most works are second rate with an emphasis on late XIXTH century painters.

A real gem: great small collection, two stories, few other visitors... Good little impressionist collection--first-rate paintings of lesser known artists. Very helpful and friendly staff.
