A lovely town with lots of history. Marriage place of Louis XIV and Marie Theresa of Spain. Also the birthplace of composer Maurice Ravel. Both buildings are still in good shape. Both places adjacent to the port. The cobblestone streets are charming with lots of...More

Unfortunately we only spent part of a day here but really enjoyed the solitude and beauty of a walk along the water in the morning before exploring the town and market in the "city" area. There are lots of opportunities for photographs; but we mainly...More

The little working port located at Place de Corsaires, just beyond the public parking lot. Whereas fishing boats used to catch lots of whales and anchovies, now they take in sardines and tuna - and take out tourists on joyrides. St-Jean-de-Luz feels cute and nonthreatening...More

This is a lovely port to walk around and view the fishing boats that provide the wonderful fresh seafood to this delightful basque area.

Quaint little fishing village with a past. Mixture of old and new. The church where Louis 14th married is very special. Lots of shops and bars. Relaxing ambience. Nice beach

Despite the rain in the morning the town was busy all day and it was not easy to find a parking space even with a blue badge. The port is very pretty and easily accessible in a wheelchair. We returned in the evening to eat...More

A small old fishing port, a real beauty with many old type fishing boats. Right in the heart of the town. Local artists stands, cafés and restaurants. Worth a visit.

It's just lovely, same as the rest of the town. It has an old&historic town's charm and a classy style that is just glorious. The port is the perfect view of the clash, or mixture, between the rich's and poor's lifestyle.
