If you are looking for at least one reason to visit this small town - then this will undoubtedly be a visit to this famous church. The marriage of Louis XIV and Marie-Therese put St-Jean-de-Luz on the map, and this church is where it all...More

This is a fascinating church. It has highly decorated gold alter, amazing oak beams and galleries, interesting paintings and a boat wooden model boat suspended from the ceiling. It is worth visiting to truly appreciate the history and influences in this beautiful town

What a beautiful interior. The bustle of tourists got lost - fortunately - inside this small house of worship. The story of King Louis IV marrying here, the boat hanging over the center aisle and the serene setting are perfect for this quaint town.

A unusual church, a surprise interior, this is the church in which King Louis XIV of France married Marie Therese Infanta of Spain in 1660. A must on your trip to Saint Jean de :Luz

We had visited this church on a previous holiday but went there for the Ravel concert (he was born in St. Jean) - it was amazing. We sat in the top gallery but that enhanced the experience as the music rose....

Lots of people sheltering from the rain but what a beautiful place to do so. Steeped in history and the 3 tiered galleries for men only were most unusual. Ramp to the side of the church made it easily accessible in my wheelchair

Would love to attend as concert in this great old church. We stopped in just to look. They keep it open. It's free.

I particularly enjoyed the painted raised wooden carvings, representing the stations of the cross, on the side walls. The detailed ship model hovering over the main aisle is a curiousity.

It was really worth visiting the cathedral. The three wooden galleries are beautifully made and inside is quiet and cool
