We rented kayaks from Les 3 Grenouilles south of Quimper and kayaked up the river with the rising tide, then turned back with the descending tide. It was very tranquil on the river, and we got to see some waterfowl and big manors / castles...More

It is lovely to go for a stroll along the river which is meandering through the old city centre of Quimper. I have never before seen so many flowers planted everywhere like here on the uncountable little bridges spanning the river. Truly charming in summer...More

Beautiful stroll along the river bank at anytime is a breath of fresh air in a city full of vechicles. The wildlife on and in the river is just great to see.

Walking through Quimper along the river is absolutely beautiful. My photos are postcard perfect including vine covered old houses, white geese grazing along the riverbank, timbered bridges, sailboat marinas, colorful flowers everywhere and beautiful little boutiques. This town is a must while visiting the region...More

We stayed in Quimper and rode into town on bikes. Lots to see and do. Very pretty. Cathedral is well worth a visit.

An impressive display of flowers on each of the many bridges. Very pretty. A placid setting and nice introduction to what was our first visit to Quimper.

The most interesting thing about this river is the number of foot bridges which criss-cross the river. These are often decorated with flowers and add to the beauty of this lovely town.
