Very pleasantly presented displays with good information. Enjoyed current exhibition of posters through the golden age of train travel. Wish the railways were still as extensive. Senior concession was a bonus.

The four or five small but packed floors (we lost track) of this tucked-away museum hold so many treasures--from ancient archaeological artifacts of the region (which has been occupied for some 600,000 years), to Roman-era objects (coins, tiles, sculptures), to early Christian iconography (paintings, sculptures,...More

Next to the cathedral in a former palace built in the 16th century, this is a well presented regional history museum. It includes artifacts from prehistory, Roman, middle ages, etc.

It brought Breton history and customs to life. Very enjoyable! Some of the costumes had wonderful embroidery in beautiful colour combinations. The collection of pottery is also excellent

We arrived at the museum just before lunchtime, and we were sold tickets, then politely told of the closure over lunchtime, but that we could resume our visit afterwards. All very Gallic, sensible and in line with the lifestyle they value, and which we came...More

Not a big but well organised collection. Just a few pieces to illustrates the pre-Roman and the early medieval ages and again, a few nice pieces to show local furnitures and metalwares. The real attractions are the costumes, amazing pieces also illustrated on paintings by...More
