Totally doable on your own without a tour - especially if you've been to lots of wine cellars before. Interesting just because it's sooooo vast. They give you a souvenir tastevin that you use for your own tastings as you go along. These are pour...More

The wine caves are amazing here, and the tasting format is truly unique and very cool. Wines were great and we ordered several bottles to be shipped. The only complaint would be the wine shipping process took a little long an was somewhat disorganized and...More

This tour is fantastic. There are 3 miles of caves and you explore a lot of them and taste along the way. The issue we had was that you do a lot of the tasting self service so you don't get the experience of talking...More

We strolled the endless caves for about two hours, having our fair share of wonderful wine choices, presented and offered to us by competent sommeliers - Vive La France and its delicious Burgundy Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.

We stumbled upon Patriarche et fils while wandering round Beaune, and having tried lots of wine tasting in the town (not on the same day I hasten to add) I would highly recommend it. It's a self guided tour, so you don't feel imposed upon,...More

As this is a self guided tour you can go at your own pace, it suited us and there are staff members around to answer questions if you wish. It appeared that some people didn't appreciate the "hard sell" but (even though I'm normally sensitive...More

Clearly wine tastings vary, depending on many things: we have been fortunate, over the years, to enjoy excellent tastings in France, in Australia, in Canada, in the US, and even in the UK. We can honestly say that this was our very worst wine tasting...More
