Cute musee in Beaune- but it's NOT IN THE HOTEL de VILLE!

It's worth a stop, there are definitely some cool things to see here, esp depending on who the cycled artists that are also present. NOTE: despite what it says on multiple sites... read more

We've been in Beaune for six weeks and were looking forward to this museum reopening in January as indicated on their website, which shows the museum closed all of December and January 01 - no mention of closure in January. When we went there today we were told that they don't reopen until springtime and neither does the Musee des... More

Don't overlook this little museum. It has some wonderful paintings by and about Beaune. The special exhibit, on until November, is also worth a look

At the moment it is housed, temporarily, in the hotel de Ville, which might explain my rating. There are worthy works of art, though not many

Worth a trip if you're in the area. Beware, it closes very early. Part of this museum is open (and free) when the main museum is closed.

We stopped in this museum in the building next to the tourist bureau. It is a small affair with a smattering of different types of art. As noted, a number of works by Ziem who is a local artist. Entry price is only 5 euro or so and that is about right for what you get. Good for a rainy... More

Nothing special here. Found a few nice pieces and since it is included with the admission price of other attractions, it is worth a stop, especially if you are visiting the information center as it is housed in the same building.

We typically try to visit local art museums on our trips, so of course we purchased the combo ticket with the Hotel Deiu for the Wine Museum and this art museum. The museum is very small with a bit of variety of artists/styles, however, there was no English explanations or insight available. I do agree with a previous comment left... More

The art at this museum was bought from other parts of the world and brought to Beaune. However, a local artist who is represented at the museum is Ziem. He had some lovely paintings of Venice.

Huge collection of Ziem works (interesting to see one artist develop his art) Not many visitors and some other interesting pieces - remarkable number of museums for a small town!
