One of the most beautiful and magnificent cathedrals of dijon ville. It's at the heart of dijon centre ville.

Eglise St Michel an imposing Church at the end of the street so stand back and take it in. There were some beggers at the door when we went in but they did not cause any problems and clearly had enough of their own. Go in for a peaceful experience.

This Gothic/Renaissance style church with two bell towers was built between 1497-1570 and is located in the center of Dijon. The unique façade has two elegant 4-story round towers w/ pillars & pilasters as well as a triple arched porch w/ a 16th C. statue of archangel St. Michael in front of the central doorway. The architecture of the church is very imposing when you see it looming at the end of the street. It is beautiful inside, and located near many other major tourist sites so worth stopping in.

From the outside, Saint Michel is an impressive show of Gothic-Renaissance architecture -- it's simply a beautiful building from any angle. The exterior of the church is large and imposing but inside it is both warm and majestic. There are some great stained glass windows. It is definitely worth a stop in as it's in centreville.

This church too is worth a visit as are many churches in Europe. This one housed the relics of St. Elizabeth. Impressive carvings on the facades of the church.

Thank Deb D
