The prieuré de St Cosme is Ronsard's house. The well known poet house is today a very modern and interactive museum. A refreshing surprise.

This seems to be a forgotten place by the tourists and a little difficult to find. Picturescue, a small area with mainly ruins. A memorysite of the french poet Pierre de Ronsard. You could read and listen to some of his poems.

Loved this site not for the chapel but for the parish house. This house is from the 15th century and complete. You even get access to the attic. My husband and I were the only visitors during our visit. The grounds were beautifully maintained even...More

What a delightful place to visit - a medieval priory situated a short distance from the center of Tours. The roses were in full bloom and just lovely. Combined with the ruins of the priory they make for a photographers heaven. And the best part...More

This is a peaceful, partly ruined medieval priory on the western outskirts of Tours, easily accessible by a regular town bus service (3A). It has a small visitor centre, and a museum devoted to the 16th century poet Ronsard, who was prior there. Ronsard is...More
