We didn't have a car and used public transport on our recent trip. 1. Ajaccio : The number 2 and 5 buses are cheap and take you along the coast and into town. 2. Ajaccio to Bastia : We took the train which was wobbly and interesting. Great views across mountainous terrain. Cost was under 30 euro each, one way.... More

Calvi, Corsica is one of the most charming towns found in the Mediterranean and a walking tour is a great way to see it. Once you leave the harbor area with yachts filling every slip, its uphill to see most of the sites and slightly uphill for the shopping area along narrow cobblestone streets. Corsica claims to be the birthplace... More

Would highly recommend Corsica as a place to visit as it has most of what most tourists look for. Beautiful scenery, great beaches, lovely villages and towns, friendly people and - in May - great weather and not too crowded. Am impressed that Corsican authorities have rigidly controlled building so you don't get the countryside, mountainsides full of buildings -... More

Visited Corsica off a cruise ship. Briefly it is a place where tourists come to buy things at overpriced cost.Very crowded, a lot of cars for narrow streets and walking can be scary because of this. We would not return.

Long time ago now... but so unspoilt ...cannot compare to anything since... holiday of a lifetime so diverse... surfing in the sea and climbing the corsican Alps....cannot think of much that rival this but south Africa in July (their winter) excellent and long to go back....

On another med cruise we called into a seaport on Corsica called Calvi . It is a lovely little town with friendly people and nice little coffee shops . If your in the neighbourhood give it a try. Also the next seaport we went to was Mahon in Menorca .the ship was able to berth right up beside the town... More

The island of Corsica is a wonderful place for a beach vacation. Between the great beaches and magnificent water, you can't find a better place to visit. Staying near the center of Porto Vecchio gives you the opportunity to be near all the great shopping and restaurants you could possibly want. Very friendly people just add to the overall experience.

We moored just off Corsica with island Cruises whilst on amed cruise & cycled on the ships hired bikes for 17k with the ships guide. He was an experienced cyclist with a good knowledge of the islands history. What a beautiful place with friendly people. We would definitely holiday in Corsica to see more of this dream location.

We visited the beautiful island of Corsica on a recent Emerald Princess cruise. What a truly beautiful place. Small, friendly and very pretty. Whilst there we visited a nougat factory, an essential oils small holding and a winery. If you get a chance do visit this beautiful island.
