We were walking around the area waiting for the Musee Gustav Moreau to open when we came across this interesting column in the middle of a crossroads. It was difficult to see due to traffic but was definitely worth a photo or two. I found out that the sculptures depict characters from the Carnival of Paris

This is one of my favorite places in Paris as the architecture here is so harmonious. And you have a fountain and a statue in the middle of the traffic circle plus a little park and the historic house of Thiers. Some good restaurants here.

I love to come to this circle and area of Paris. I love this little fountain and the harmonious architecture all around. And you can find a very good cafe or restaurant nearby. A lovely neighborhood.

Located within Place Saint Georges is this striking monument. The fountain Gavarni, dedicated to the French illustrator Paul Gavarni (1804-1866), his bust tops the pedestal, the fountain is no longer in operation.
