This place was one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. I went in because my eye was attracted to some gardening items in the window. What a surprise when I went upstairs to find their incredible collection of taxidermy animals, insect collections, and gift items. It is like a museum! Let me point out though that this... More

Such a Parian shop-filled with incredible sights both up and downstairs. It's like a museum and you get purchase the most unique items to bring home for unforgettable keepsakes (all price points). With so much to explore in Paris, rarely do you repeat, but I will always find time to visit this shop. So unique, so Pariee.

Browsing through Deyrolle is like browsing back in time. One of the most unique shops in the Western world. Kids will especially love it. Yes, the first floor has remarkable upscale gardening supplies. But climb the steps to the next level for museum quality taxidermy. You’ll see everything from beautiful butterfly and insect displays, to lions, tigers, bears and unicorns.... More

As a family we visit Paris about once every 2 years and this is a regular stop on our visits. we never tire of this place. It transports you to a different century, with its taxidermy exhibits that range from the tiniest insect or butterfly to buffalo, polar bears and other large specimen. There are very few shops left of... More

Before there were formal museums, people put together cabinets of curiosity, and some apparently continue to do so. Deyrolle makes this possible, the second floor is crammed with stuffed animals(a giraffe!), insects, spiders, butterflies, shells. They are very welcoming to tourists, we bwere there for more than a half hour

This taxidermy shop was started in the 19th century and has an extensive and unique collection of insects, birds and mammals. I found a perfect clay replica of a slug, no less! Definitely make some time for this place when you are near the Musee d'Orsay.

The gardener in me was captivated by this store from the first moment we entered, then we went upstairs! What a fascinating place. The taxidermy is so well done, the animals and birds look like they could start moving. The collections were vast. A really great place to visit.

The first thing I should state is that all animals in this shop have lived in zoos or private collections and have been certified to have died of old age or natural causes. The upper level of Deyrolle is three large rooms crammed with wonderful examples of the taxidermists art. There are lions, buffalo, antelope, zebras, warthogs and many other... More

During my 2 week trip to Paris, this is the one place that I had to visit else the trip would have been a complete disaster. Deyrolle did not disappoint and certainly lived up to my expectations. To be clear, his is a taxidermy shop in Paris, and therefore as a general courtesy to shop owners I recommend not taking... More
