Horrible, dirty, failed experience. Transferring from Norse station, Lazaare was a complete failure. I can in no way tell you how many levels up and down, excessive walking and climbing, NO escalators or elevators were working! At just one stair was 87 steps up with luggage! No elevator or lift. With luggage. We missed our connection by two mins, train still there but would not allow us access. Missed connection, missed tour in Bayeux. We waited in new line to purchase new tickets, which took 57 minutes, barely made next new connection. Take a taxi! It’s worth it. Horrible experience!

The oldest station in Paris is second only to North Station in terms of passenger traffic. Like Gare du Nord, most traffic is commuter trains west of Île de France. The pendulum daily migration of workers in Paris and those living in the agglomeration is the basis of record numbers. You can go to Versailles from here. Over long distances, Saint-Lazare serves Normandy. The scarcity of space due to age and its transfer to trade has meant that there is no waiting room in Saint-Lazare, which is not always convenient. It is assumed that a developed system of transport (one subway line here 5!) will reduce the waiting time of travelers. However, for people accustomed to arriving in advance, Saint-Lazare is not too convenient.

My 13 year old daughter calls me to tell me that she lost her Navigo pass on her way home from school. Coming back from work, I pass by Saint-Lazare and go to the stand to make another one for him. Before waiting in line, I ask if a photo of my daughter's ID card is accepted. I am told yes. I wait in line for an hour and the young woman who greets me tells me that my name is not the same as my daughter's. I explain to him that it is my birth name, but that my married name is the same. As my husband has a compound name, I have the same, and my daughter has my husband's last name. The lady tells me that this is not possible and that I need the family record book. So I asked my husband to send me a photo. I ask to see the manager, who agrees with this requirement. After a difficult discussion, another lady welcomes me. Very nice, she has to check if my RIB is really mine, with the manager behind her.

In summary, the procedure seems to follow according to the client's head. The manager was obnoxious and the first person rude. SNCF services have become deplorable.

This big train station was renovated somewhat recently, and as a result, it is brighter and more modern than the others. Some new shopping and eating. It serves the northwest of France and many suburban towns and works well for the visitor.

We arrived at this train station from Rouen. It has been completely re-built and is very modern, multi-level with many places to shop and eat. We had to scan our tickets to exit the quai area which was annoying. And then it was very difficult to find the exit out to the street. Modern yet confusing.

The station historical building is quiet impressive and the station is relatively big since acting as train and metro station. There are a wide variety of related stores, restaurants and cafes but the problem most of them are closed after 8:00 pm despite the fact that the train and metro services do not close that early and would be frustrating to wait in the evening for your train departure or should you feel hungry . Pretty clean including wc but visible suburban train signs only if you enter dedicated area having validated your ticket!
Announcements via sono not understandable due to echoes. However, there are automatic compensation audio systems. A client who feels badly treated

Gare St. Lazare is a huge station. We came here several times and felt quite comfortable finding our way around. Its history goes back a long way, to around the early part of the 19th century. It's a beautiful station architecturally and there are many shops inside so you are sure to find something to buy.

A huge station, with shopping and the possibility of traveling by train, metro and bus. The ticket offices are staffed efficiently and there are also self-service ticket machines. It seemed like a safe place

We've passed through Gare St Lazare six times in the last four years. Each time, we were accosted by women begging. It probably wouldn't be so irritating if they didn't get right up in your face. And it's been the same women every time.
