Still seems like it's the student part of Paris from 1968 even though it has become commercialised. Wander the side streets and stop for a coffee at Le Deux Magots.

Next to the more well known quarter Latin this area has also very nice bars cafes and restaurants and may be Less crowded. Nice to take a stroll through the small streets and enjoy the typical French atmosphere here.

Highly recommend the St. Germain des Pres area. One of a kind boutiques and great places for lunch or drink post shopping. Just wander around and you will find many a shop to go into to.

You MUST check out Left Bank St Germain. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. the location is perfect, I will be staying there next time i visit. Great for bars, restaurants and street music on a night!
