This beautiful park, which has inspired many famous paintings, was created in the 18th century for Philippe Egalité, the cousin of Louis XVI and the father of King Louis-Philippe I.

Joan and I loved walking around this park, lovely statuary, well maintained gardens, a lovely scenic pond, and just a very relaxing area to walk, jog, or just sind down on a bench to read.

We enjoyed walking through this lovely park on our recent trip to Paris. We bought some caramel corn & a Coke from a vendor & walked around, taking lots of pictures. There was a caroussel and pony rides for the children. Lots of people were...More

Lovely gardens, well maintained with lots of ornamental features. Very tranquil. We wouldn't travel miles to visit but definitely worth a visit if in the vicinity.

Very nice. It was not on my original plan but I stopped by waiting for one of the museums to open up. Loved it and was a nice relaxing spot

Paris has a plethora of beautiful parks. Add Parc Monceau to the list of "should see. " It's a small park with lovely statues throughout, a scenic pond lined with columns, a quaint bridge and picturesque grotto. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful, yet not too big to walk around. Has two lovely playgrounds and a pond. Used by locals, so you will blend in!

There is no doubt that the Tuileries and Luxembourg Gardens are the cream of Paris parks, but there are other parks well worth a look. The Bois de Boulogne is one, but it's not that easy to get to and is so CentralParkNY huge without...More

Paris has so many great parks, this was one of my favourites because it felt really local (very different from the tourist filled Luxumbourg and Tuileries). It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area visiting Musee Jacquemart- Andre, and may be worth the...More

Are you allowed to bring dogs to this park? If so, is there a fenced area to allow them to go off lead? Thanks

Hi, I was in Park Monceau on Friday and there were lots of dogs, most on leads and I think that some dogs were not on leads when we were there. It was very early in the morning.

The park dates from 1778, and currently measures 9 hectares ( 22 acres ). its a nice place to visit if you want to get away from the traffic and the noise. Popular with parents with children and joggers.
