We once had an apartment across the street from the big church and loved living here, but that was a different time when the island still felt like a village. This street is quite picturesque and a fun place to stroll. But this area is...More

We stayed here for two nights at the tail end of our trip... probably one of the best stays we had. The location was central... steps from Notre Dame, two Batobus stops (Hotel de Ville, and Notre Dame), parking, shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes... if...More

This is the main street on the Ile Saint Louis next to the Ile de la Cite in the centre of Paris. The street has some nice shops on this quieter tourist location. Still a great place to come for a browse.

I bought dozens of small gifts here, and the clerks were ever so pleasant and cheerfully gift-wrapped all of them for free. The sense of whimsy in the design of the products makes shopping here a pleasure!

This charming narrow thoroughfare runs east to west through the small Ile Saint Louis and serves as the island's main street. I find it a great place to stroll after visiting Notre Dame Cathedral, about a 5-minute walk away. Restaurants, cafes, boutiques, art galleries and...More

Half my family is French, I've known Paris all my life and can honestly say this trip felt like we lived there too. We couldn't have had a warmer welcome from Jenn, and the location is superb - we walked miles in both directions, found...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
