In the heart of Paris, in the 2nd arrondissement near Place des Victoires, this wonderful galerie is totally covered and is the entrance to wine bars, small restaurants, tea houses, all wonderful places. To try it is to adopt it! I go back each trip.

Galerie Vivienne was one of the top things on my list of to-do's while in Paris. I was sad to see it was a bit rundown. There were a number of empty store fronts and some of the iconic mosaic floor tiles were ruined. Despite...More

A bit of curiosity will make you a happier traveller while in Paris. We discovered this little passage when we were going from Place des Victoires to Place Vendome and it amazed us! I would definitely recommend a visit if you're close

I visited here as my name is Vivienne! It is a beautiful passageway of shops but most were shut on the Saturday morning when we visited. I thought that the whole place seemed a bit run-down which was disappointing.

This place is so famous but it surprises me how few people think to come here. Amazing selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all inside a beautifully decorated arcade. Highly recommend this place for any time of year but especially nice when it rains...More

I return to this covered passage way every time I am in Paris. Beautiful architecture, great history. These passages were the shopping malls of the early Nineteenth Century, away from the noise and dirt of the city streets. Now interesting independent shops and a great...More

Nice stroll in a beautiful gallery. Very French to me. It was a rainy and cold day so a bit busy. Saw some bookshops and vintage shops.

We strolled through this walkway and enjoyed the beautiful mosaic floor and ambience. Not a lot of stores but the ones that were there are intesting. The walk took about 10 minutes.

It’s a beautiful passage way, glass ceilings and mosaic floors. The Christmas lights that are still adorned on the walls are gorgeous. I came on a day that not many of the shops were open but a pretty 5 mins stroll through nonetheless.

If it is not the oldest covered shopping area in Paris it comes close. That in itself is reason enough to visit. There is a lovely shop selling scarves that are not typical tourist junk. Nothing I saw here screamed "tourist trap." There were lovely...More

The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle

modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
