Excellent food

This was a quaint restaurant and my wife and I were seated outside which was very pleasant. Had beautiful escargot, "frogs legs" and a cheese board with a nice Pinot Noir to wash it all done. Waiter's recommendations were excellent. Highly recommended!

Awesome!

Fantastic pedestrian area...very pleased with making this an adgenda item on our trip! Lots of cafes, wine, pastry and breadshops as well as cheese options. Lots of side streets to explore.

Fun Place To Stroll!

Lots of shops, bakeries, bistros and stunning architecture. A great place to go in the afternoon, visit a few shops and enjoy a glass of wine. Highly recommend!

I will be traveling in November with my Mom who I will be pushing in a fold-up wheelchair (12” rear wheels). We arrive on a Wednesday around 2pm on the Eurostar and are considering going to Rue Montorgueil to walk around and get lunch. We are then heading to the Louvre. Is there another similar location that might work better on the way to the Louvre for a wheelchair? She is able to get out and walk short distances and up/down a few steps. Will the walking route from Rue Montorgueil to Louvre work for a wheelchair (ex: not hilly)? How successful might we be at hailing a taxi from the market area? I don’t see any good backup bus routes. The rest of our plan is Louvre to Champs Elysees area hotel (taxi or bus 72 to 73). Next day: taxi or Bus 73 to 62 Notre Dame, Then taxi or Bus 27 to 72 to Eiffel Tower, noon lunch at Restaurant 58 (Mom’s request) then Bateaux Parisians Seine cruise. Bus 42 back to Gare du Nord for Eurostar return trip @ 7:15pm. Does this all seem reasonable pushing a wheelchair in November? Are there better bus routes that I'm not finding? Should we just plan on all buses with the transfers or will we have a chance at finding a Taxi? Thank you.

streets can be navigated by wheel chair with some planning. Rue Montorgueil to Louvre is almost flat. There might be few steps to walk up and down the stairs because wheel chair ramps are not located is most places. The... More

We've had success in renting from Home Away. I highly recommend the area around Rue Montorgueil, which is in the Second Arrondissement for foodies. Better central location and less expensive than St. Germain.
