It's quite beautiful here! We went towards sunset and was able to see it in both sun light and at night-beautiful both ways! We wish we had planned ahead and bought tickets to go up top. A friend recommended it but we just missed the...More

This triumphal arch is derived from the triumphal arch of the Roman Empire particularly that of Septimus Severus of Rome. It was built to commemorate Napoleon's military victories. This arch in Place du Carrousel is smaller than that of the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile....More

It was a great experience! Climbing up the top of the Arc is worthwhile. You can see all of Paris and access doesn't take long, not crowded towards late afternoon.

The Arc du Carrousel, also built by Napoleon, is 20 mts height; small compared to the 50 mts height Arc du Triumphe located 3km away, at the other end of the Av. des Champs Elysees. The Arc du Carrousel is located between the Musee du...More

This is one of five famous arches in Paris being constructed 1806-1808. It is near the entrance to the Tuilleries Gardens, and the other end is close to the Louvre Museum. It is not to be confused with the other Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

It's so underrated. Don't just walk around it, go to the top. There's nothing comparable to looking at the sun setting over the city of Paris, overlooking Champs Élysées in the east and the lit up Eiffel tower against the dark sky in the south.

This arc is located at the entrance of Tuileries Gardens, and on the other end is in front of the street that crosses the Louvre Museum. The arc is beautiful, and standing just below him you can admire the all Tuileries Gardens, and the Rue...More

We saw the arch a few times during our stay but to fully appreciate it, one must see it from a close distance; a beautiful arch that is not as popular as the one at the end of the Champs Elysees.
