Our children were intrigued by the swinging skull as you walk in, they recall the talking bear and the little mouse hiding in one room - will you see it ? We visited as a family one morning - there is a lot to see in the rooms so be careful just to not walk through but take a closer look! Some areas were not suitable for the children and we simply avoided those rooms or sights. It is not your average museum in its styling but is worth a visit and we enjoyed our time there.

So many cool collections and things to see, we were there for hours. Our kids loved it! Lots of oddities and interesting facts about animals and hunting. Highly recommend.

A mixture of old and new, this museum is a great value little diversion in Paris. When we visited there was a modern art exhibition as well as the collection of hunting weapons and stuffed animals.

In a city with no shortage of highly specialized museums, Musee de la Chasse just jumped to the top of my list (and will the museum of bread ever return?). Don’t go thinking that it’s simply a showcase of taxidermy and hunting objects, the curators recognize that fresh ideas will triumph. There are changing contemporary artist’s exhibitions integrated within their galleries and collection that are quirky and bizarre as well as thorough. Go. And the guards and attendants are in on the joke.
