I wasn't expecting that much from this zoo as my guide book didn't even mention it, but I like zoos and the bus route on my hotel's street (Bus 86) has it's very last stop there, so I figured that even I couldn't get too...More

Located in the east of Vincennes Park is this very modern zoo. We had read that it was built here as a large number of French explorers lived in this area and brought back specimens from their travels. Children get a quiz sheet to complete...More

Really good zoo and well worth a visit. All the animals looked to be in great condition and happy in their environments, which is cleverly designed and well laid out. Highlights for us were the manatees, amazing to see them up close, although the baboons...More

As I become older I find it increasing sad to see wild animals in small enclosures, it feels neither informative or enjoyable. The primates especially seemed bored, understimulated and neurotic. Our 4 1/2 year old grandson wasn't entertained, he preferred the playground area to going...More

Such a clean and well-planned zoo. The enclosures are spacious and clean. The animals seem relaxed and happy. Visitors can get just close enough to be able to admire the beauty of the "residents" of the zoo. The zoo offers a wide variety of geographical...More

I loved the wide variety of animals that we saw here. I also was impressed at how close we were able to get to most of the animals.

Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise
lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and
impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small
parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy
Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois
de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on
its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to
this calming neighbourhood where real Parisians make
