The lilies themselves were my sole reason for the visit! Its an amazing piece of work! Not very crowded even though I went on a Friday in July.

After wandering through the Jardi des Tuileries, we were lucky enough to come upon the Musee de l'Orangerie. Don't let the size of the building deceive you because it goes down a couple of floors. It was New Year's Day and free entry for that...More

A museum for Monet lovers: if you have visited his gardens outside Paris you should make an effort to visit here. You will find the really large paintings he did which are different from the small canvases at Giverny. Be aware that the gardens close...More

With a Museum Pass, you can go to the shorter line on the right of the longer line. With it!! It was raining, when we were in line, and taking the shorter path, made everyone much happier to wait only 10 min, vs 45+

I visited both musée de l'orangerie and musée d'orsay and the difference is huge. Better visit Musée d'Orsay for nearly the same ticket price. The only exhibition worth seeing is Nympheas

This is the perfect museum: a stunning array of art from prominent Impressionists but small enough that you can study each piece without rushing or experiencing art fatigue. And there are benches to bask in the tranquility of Monet's Water lilies.

Based on the reviews, we expected the museum to be much smaller. Even though it is on the small side, there are still many rooms full of beautiful impressionist art. Monet's water lilies are a must-see and the size of the paintings fill two big...More

If you are a Monet fan, this museum must rank high on your list of ‘must do’ in Paris. Situated across from the d’Orsay on the other side of the Seine River, this museum is the perfect home to no less than eight of Monet’s...More

As a family that dislikes crowds, this museum easily was our favorite in Paris. The presentation of Monet's Water Lilies, designed by the artist himself, is so stunningly beautiful. While it's true that this museum is small, it's not a bad thing at all, and...More

It is really dependent on you. You certainly could spend an hour or two. At the same time, it is two rooms and with limited time you may only have 30 minutes. It is worth the stop. I might schedule after the Louvre as it is... More
