We took too long to get there and they were packing up at 1.00pm. I think it would be much better to go early in the morning

This open market puts the American farmer's market to shame. How dare we even call outs a farmer's market? The Bastille Market is big and had just about everything you could dream of in it. Of course the French have been doing this for so much longer than the Americans have; they do it so much better! Everything from the... More

The stores selling vegetables or cheese are average. The cooked food though is amazing - especially the paella - warm our souls during the cold winter. Worth a visit.

This was my husband's and my favorite part of Paris. All the food looked amazing. The colors of the fruits, vegetables and flowers were so vibrant. We ate roast chicken and potatoes from the Chicken Lady, and it was so delicious. The skin on the chicken was crispy from the marinade, and the potatoes that roasted in the chicken drippings... There are many locations that fancy themselves markets, such as Marche des Enfants Rouge, which is really just a series of short-order restaurants with a few fruit stands thrown in. And then there are actual street markets with food, drink, and other goods. Marche Bastille is one such market and one of the better weekend markets in Paris. It's an... More

I think I ate more here than I did the whole day after. There are Lebanese, Greek, French, Italian and German stalls selling tasty food. (There are more, but I was full at this point). As well as this, there are fruits and vegetables, clothes, accessories, souvenirs, etc. A great market. It is only open until 2pm. So get up... More

This market stretches down Blvd Richard Lenoir, with fruit, veg, fish, meat and bakery goods, and a few household supply and souvenir vendors. We arrived late (around 1:00) and the market seemed to be starting to wrap up starting 2:00; still, there was lots available and it was lively. There are informal places to sit in the centre around small... More

As a fan of street markets, I loved this one. Cozy and cool, you can find some fruits that are not easily found backhome (at least this happened to me :)). Also great for some (local) people watching.
