I've often looked down at this small, lovely, public park when walking across Pont Neuf and vowed to take a closer look at the grassy expanse someday. On a recent visit to Paris, I finally descended the steep steps, behind the bridge's equestrian statue of Henri IV, to this western tip of Ile de la Cite. The well-maintained park --... More

You'll find this pretty square down below the Port Nerf and the statue of Henri IV. Lovely views of the Seine, Louvre and several bridges. Romantic. It floods when the level of the Seine is high.

This small park seems to be overlooked by visitors to Paris even though it is visible from both the Left and Right Banks, the Pont des Arts, and the Pont Neuf, but it is worth the ten or fifteen minutes it takes to visit. You reach the park by walking down a set of stone steps set into one side... More

This is a beautiful little park right in the heart of Paris. Lovely trees, benches to rest on, the stone masks are amazing, at Jacques de Molay, was burned at the stake on March 18, 1314 here. This park is well worth a visit, even if it just for a rest here in the park.

Small, charming and very pretty with access to the sidewalk right up to the river below. Fantastic picture opportunities and great benches to spend some down time.

Right in the middle of the city, this is the best place to be in Paris (if not at the Eiffel). You have to see how students flock the place in late evenings, make merry, dance and sing to get the vibe and see yourself start swaying in no time. Keep this as the last place that you would visit... More

Whilst exploring Paris we walked over 'Pont Neuf' bridge. In the middle of bridge is the new place where everyone puts love locks. As the Pont des Arts Bridge has removed all the locks and put up perspex to prevent locks going back on due to the excessive weight on the bridge. Was incredible to see! And no we never... More

This charming small square is located at the western tip of the Ile de la Cite. The numerous benches under the trees make this lovely little park an ideal place to sit back and relax after a day spent exploring the Ile de la Cite, its rich history, and wonderful architecture. The park provides gorgeous views of the River Seine... More

Erected in tribute to Henri IV and his numerous mistresses, the Square du Vert Galant obtained the ‘Espace vert écologique' (ecological green space) label in 2007. And with good reason, the square has an impressive fauna and flora considering it is situated in the centre of the capital. Consequently, the Square du Vert Galant has become one of the most...
