Not the most famous or beautiful Arrondissement but has some good restaurants close and shows the local daily life of lots of Parisians, kinda interesting

There is very little to see here as far as tourism goes, though I would highly recommend the Bassin de la Villette area, particularly in the summer as it becomes a beach with swimming and activities aimed toward families and children, but enjoyed by adults...More

At least that is my opinion. The 19th has the canals, Buttes Chaumont, some lovely hillside neighborhoods, and don't forget the Communist Party's HQ! Paris' historic working class area is in the midst of changes. Some good views from the hillsides.
