I love this venue. The entire venue is a modern embrace of the historical setting. Quite a few years since I’ve been here but yet the attraction seems to still be the Mona Lisa.
It’s attraction seems not to have wavered. There is now an exclusive room to queue for the Mona Lisa although there are other pieces in this room which seem to go largely unnoticed as the queueing masses clamber ti get in the queue for the ultimate selfies r opportunity

Place des Pyramides is public square situated along Rue de Rivoli near the western end of Jardin des Tuileries. This is a small place named after Napoleon's victory over the Egyptian armies at the Battle of Pyramids (1798).
Not a lot to see here other than the the gilded equestrian statue of Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc). Otherwise, just a lot of traffic that passes through this square. Make a quick stop here if you enjoy viewing monuments and statues during your travels and then continue onward sightseeing in the area.

So, after a lot of research I see that many reviewers have cited the glass pyramids at the Louvre to be the location of this place - mere guessing on their part, but they are WRONG!!
As the location has "pyramides" in the title, they've assumed it relates to the obvious ones at the Louvre but in fact it relates to a battle Napoleon won against Egypt in 1798 and nothing at all to do with the Louvre. So congrats to those reviewers who did their homework and got it right - good job! We rely on and love those reviewers, thank you.
The actual location of Place des Pyramides is where the Joan of Arc statue exists on Rue de Rivoli (see pic). It's a grand area and quite busy with traffic but looks lovely at night when the hotel behind the statue lights up the building.

It is impossible to see this square without people. I wonder how many photos are taken here per second?!
If you're not planning on visiting Louvre do visit this square at least. It is a perfect harmony between modern and antique art. It became an icon of art and architecture and it really deserves to be admired because it ain't easy to accomplish this balance between old and new.
The square is always filled with people taking pictures, there is some benches stratigicly placed for you to take a picture "touching" the top os the pyramid, and also it is in this square that is the entry for the Louvre museum, right through the pyramid.
If it is a rainy day, take un umbrella because there is no shelter.

This small square named in honour, of Napoleons victory, at the battle of the Pyramids (egypt) in 1798.
The square is located on Rue de Rivoli at the intersection of Rue des Pyramides and Avenue du General Lemonnier, is home to the gold gilded statue of Joan of Arc, The square itself is nothing special, however, of note for us was the pedestrian crossing that runs under the monument crossing Rue de rivoli, vheicles stopped at the red light across at Avenue du General Lemonnier, treat is as a drag strip when they get a green, realising they have to stop, at the crossing. Note: most don't, its like playing frogger.

Title says it all. Disregard the name of the square, there is nothing here related to pyramids, it's just named after the Battle of the Pyramids.
The gilded equestrian statue of Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc) is impressive and worth a glance if one is passing by, on the way to somewhere else.
This should definitely not be a destination for any one.

I always approach this square by the Western end of the Tuileries Gardens with extreme caution. It features heavy vehicular traffic going very fast. But traffic lights located here enable pedestrians to eventually cross the square safely. Its focal point, which I consider to be beautifully done, is the gilded bronze statue of Joan of Arc on horseback. Arcades by the square shelter shops and the entrance to the restaurant at the 5-star Hotel Regina.
Place des Pyramides is located by the rue de Rivoli, where it intersects rue des Pyramides and Avenue du General Lemonnier. The square is named for the street, which recognizes Napoleon's 1798 victory at the Battle of the Pyramids in Egypt. This square would likely appeal mostly to those who like statues or have a special interest in Joan of Arc.

Located on Rue de Rivoli, (the high st of paris, second to champs élysées) is this very busy square, named after one of napoleons victories. The highlight for us, is this is where the statue of joan of arc is located, seated on a horse all in gilded bronze.

This very small but very busy square was just a very short walk from our Paris hotel. Consequently we were able to walk through it, on a number of occasions and observe the frenetic activities which occur there.
There were two features of particular interest to us in the Place des Pyramides. One was the Hotel Regina. This upmarket hotel had a small car-park in the place, which would have been an interesting experience for guests attempting to use it, due to the overwhelming amount of traffic passing through the small square. The second was the magnificent golden statue of Joan of Arc on her horse. This awesome statue took our breath away each time we saw it.
Most of the action which we observed in the place was provided by the extremely heavy traffic which passes through the square. If you happen to visit the Place des Pyramides, do take great care as many of the Parisian drivers appear to view pedestrians as “fair game”!

How far is it from Gare St. Lazare?

Also, if in a taxi make sure you ask for Musee Louvre. The Place Du Pyramides is not where most tourists think but about kilometre away. TripAdvisor has the position and address wrong. I have tried to get it changed to no avail.
Have a great time, its a fab city
All the best
