Very roman and greek influenced architecture. Not far from the Petit Trianon (aka the little cottage). Be sure to walk the gardens out back and along the waterway.

We visited in May and were blessed with the weather. It's quite a walk from the Palace though so bear in mind and doesn't open until midday.

This is about a 30 minute walk from the main palace of Versailles and is not really visited much. There are maps showing the location in the Palace grounds but because the majority of visitors are on a time restriction it is quiet here. If...More

I think I enjoyed the gardens, the grand Trianon was a little gem hidden in its depths. Well worth a visit. A coffee overlooking the gardens was magnificent.

Le Grand Trianon is a truly grand space which encompasses you as you walk through - especially if it is a sunny day and the light shines in!

There was not all that much to see as half the building was closed with a sign saying that it would open at 3.30pm. There were no queues in sight and we walked straight in with a Paris museum pas.

Absolutely stunning, a mini version of chateaux. Found it was a lot quieter to walk around as it seemed that people didn't come this end of the estate. They didn't skimp with the costs when this was built neither.

The decor and detail are amazing considering this is just one part of the overall complex. By itself it would have been worth a visit for the surrounding gardens paintings and decor
