We passed this site with our tour bus. Too bad that we had not the time to explore it. It was still a fantastic and colorful view even from the bus window.

This is more a golden (or euro) mine than a salt one. At the end, people come here to buy salt and end up to pay to see how salt is produced and some rusty machineries, by paying expensive entrance tickets (adult by foot €15,...More

The touristic train makes a tour of about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The explanation is only in French but even if you don't understand the language, the environment speaks for itself. Huge ecosystem, the size of the city of Paris with 340 km of roads....More

A must see if you are in Camargue. The Salin or salt marshes are still supporting the local economy even if in a diminished role. The Salin offers vast spaces, pink flamingoes and other wildlife, vibrant colors and serenity.

Nature never seems to amaze me. Salin d'Aigues-Mortes brings pink to a whole new level. It is somewhat mesmerizing. Even my teenagers enjoyed the tour. It was educational to learn about how the salt is mined from this region.

Made the drive to Salin d'Aigues-Mortes and it was an interesting site to see. Unfortunately they do not offer any English tours nor is there any audio translators available which was frustrating. Read the brochure in English so kind of figured out what was going...More

We travelled through the Salins of Aigues Mortes. What strikes one is the scale of the pans. Reaching out for miles, towards the sea. Very impressive and strangely beautiful.
