Nice and beautiful view. Every day when the sun is setting you can see a lot of visitors appreciating the event playing violins, children's playing.

I really enjoyed this area and the Promenade Peyrou. It affords a great view of the city and the Roman aqueduct.

Spent the day in Montpellier and while walking through the streets decided to take in this attraction. Described as a mini Arc de triomphe however was larger than I expected and glad we went to see. Not far from the main square - we visited the tourist office at place de la comedie and picked up a free street map.

The Porte du Peyrou is a triumphal arch situated at the eastern end of the Jardin de Peyrou, a park near the centre of Montpellier. It was designed after the Porte Saint-Denis in Paris & its construction was completed in 1693. The park and the aqueduct are well worth a stroll around.

We stayed nearby and would pass the Porte regularly. It is a grand thing next to the wonderful aqueduct and park and near all manner of cafes, restaurants and shopping. Not something to spend hours at but this end of Montpellier is very nice.

This 'arc de triomph' and the plaza are well worth a visit, affording great views across the city and of the water tower and aqueduct. Nice relaxed atmosphere and well worth visiting.

Nice big city detail giving Montpellier a little grandeur. Not much to do, but nice to look at and through.

This is nice to see. Daytime it looks a grand building, but at night time it is lite up and looks amazing. Behind is a large park area and relax in the shade
